May 11, 2008 · No Comments

We have received an update and some heart-touching photos from one of our teams on the ground. As you can see in the album, the team has successfully distributed foods and necessities to the people using your donations. HH4NG and some local donors have also contributed half of the donations. We are still waiting for more reports and updates from the other teams.

Click here to see the all the photos of your donations helping people in Myanmar.

Thank you HH4NG, Miteers and all volunteers for your priceless contributions.

We distribute 100% directly to the people

May 9, 2008 · No Comments

People are waiting and they do not have much time.
We need to act fast. “Time is of the essence”

See the Photos we received from Laputta. The teams are on the way to the areas and delivering shelters, vaccines and other necessities the people.

We have sent our first batch, 200 bags of rice together with potatoes and beans (estimated S$ 5,000) to Dala, one of the badly hit areas near Yangon. The foods will be distributed the to people and we will receive detailed report and photos from the team when the mission is completed.

The team, Raven Blood Donor Club, will take care of the distribution of rice bags to the area. We will update the photos and details in a few days time. Next, we will be looking into reconstruction of houses and setting up water supply/pumps.

Reconstruction works cost around $100 per house and we will be constructing 10 pilot houses in Shwe Pyi Thar. We will be providing photos of them and, with more donations, we plan to reconstruct more houses for the people.

Besides Dala, we will be distributing 0.5 viss of rice per family to the people in Hlaing Thar Yar on May 10th. There are about 3770 families who are homless and starving. They are reported to have only 1 meal in 2 days. The estimated cost of this donation is S$ 1,400. Other local donors are also distributing another 0.5 viss of rice to each family together with our donations. This distribution will be taken care by HH4NG members and volunteers from MIT.
